An 80th Birthday Celebration Card Shower and Open House are planned for Roger Will.
Family and friends are invited to join Roger for refreshments and fellowship on Sunday, May 29, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg.
The reception is hosted by Roger's five children and their families: Pam Milliron, husband Todd, children Nicole, Amber, and CJ from Yorkville, IL; Al Will, wife Beth, and children Sam, Sarah, Lindsay and Britni of Cylinder; Gary Will, wife Vicki, and children Amanda and Dustin from Concordia, KS; Cindy Dietz, husband KC, and daughters Zoey and Maddie of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Sherri Williamson and children Bryan and Kristen from Winneconne, WI.

Roger was born in Richards, Iowa, in 1931 to Martin and Hilda Will. He married Maxine Grider in 1958 and moved to Emmetsburg in May of 1960, where they raised their five children. Roger worked for the Soil Conservation Service as a field technician and retired in 1992 after 32 years of service.
Roger is active with his church and the Palo Alto Gun Club and still enjoys spending time with friends shooting trap.
