HULL?- Running into Western Christian wasn't exactly what a team wants to do to come out of their holiday break, but that was Emmetsburg's fortune on Tuesday night. The fortune didn't pan out positively, as Emmetsburg's Lady E-Hawks ended up on the wrong side of an 85-32 tally.
The Lady E-Hawks struggled to get any kind of offensive flow going against the Wolfpack, as they trailed 23-10 after the opening quarter and 44-16 at the halftime break. Western Christian's up-tempo pressure game plan contributed to numerous turnovers, primarily stolen passes, which were quickly converted to points on the other end of the court.
Western Christian would continue the onslaught in the second half as they moved out to a 71-24 lead before pulling their starters midway throughout the final quarter as Emmetsburg battled to the 85-32 final tally.

For Emmetsburg, Paige Naig would lead the valiant effort with 13 points while Alexa Naig came away with 11 points. Hadley Egland would chip in four points for the Lady E-Hawks with Ashton Connelly rounding out the effort with a bucket for two points.
Emmetsburg whill host Manson Northwest Webster on Thursday night and then return to Lakes Conference play on Friday when they will host Spirit Lake.
