RUTHVEN - Running into the league-leading Harris-Lake Park Wolves was not a fun experience for Ruthven-Ayrshire/Graettinger-Terril's boys Friday night. The Raiders ended up on the low side of a 56-36 score in the contest.
HLP took a 12-7 lead after the opening quarter, but the Raiders tried to stay close in the second frame, but trailed 22-34 at the intermission. But in the second half, the Wolves' defense held the Raiders to four points to take a 49-26 lead into the final quarter. RA/GT would outscore the Wolves 10-7 in the final quarter but it was too little too late for the 36-56 defeat.
The Raiders were led offensively by Carter Williamson's 11 points and Austin Dyer's 10 points. Dylan Smith added eight points and 15 rebounds, while Mitch Girres scored three points. Colin Leiting and Garrett Parker both added two points to the final tally for Ruthven-Ayrshire/Graettinger-Terril.
