Emmetsburg Main Street Theatre Escanaba in da Moonlight Opens Friday

March 22, 2012
by Jane Whitmore , Emmetsburg News

Escanaba in da Moonlight opens Friday, March 23, on the Emmetsburg Main Street Theatre stage.

The show is a comedy about hunting -- deer hunting -- on Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The Soady men and their friend, the Jimmer, gather on the eve of opening day of deer season. Reuben has yet to shoot his first buck and is perilously close to becoming "the oldest Soady, in the history of Soady's never to bag a buck."

Is Reuben just a bad shot, unlucky or cursed?
