Funeral service for Harvey F. Wolff was held Saturday, June 9, at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg. The Rev. Kim Peterson officiated.
Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Emmetsburg. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg was in charge.
Harvey Frank Wolff, son of Herman and Minnie (Bahl) Wolff, was born July 7, 1922, in Great Oak Township. He graduated from Gillett Grove High School in 1942.
On July 12, 1960, Harvey was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Schultz in Jackson, MN. To this union seven children were born.
Following high school Harvey worked for Mickey Dailey, doing farm work. He was then employed by the Ayrshire and West Bend Elevators. Harvey also farmed for the Schmidt brothers, near Mallard, before his retirement.
As Harvey's health failed, he moved to Baxter to be near his son, Troy and his family. He made his home at the Baxter Health Care Center.
Harvey passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton, at the age of 89.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a daughter, Barbara Rhea; sisters, Inez, Irene and Pearl; and brothers, Carl, Arlo, Leonard and Earl.
He is survived by his children, Shannon Nissen of Laurens, Jerry Wolff (Carol) of Ruthven, Harvey Wolff, Jr. (Tammi) of Emmetsburg, John Wolff (Pam) of Emmetsburg, Jim Wolff (Kathryn) of Polk City, and Troy Wolff (Heather) of Baxter; 23 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Velda Wolff of Newton; and nieces and nephews.
