MILFORD - Emmetsburg's Cross Country teams braved the 100-degree heat Thursday to compete in the Okoboji Invitational. The Lady E-Hawks placed third overall in the event.
Caroline Fantz finished 10th with a 19:23, while Taylor Reimer was 14th with a 19:42 time. Emily Bonnstetter set a personal record with her 20:06 for 18th place and Rachel Ruddy finished 19th with a 20:08.
Tara Harris set a personal record with a 20:26 time and Mikki Mundus was 31st in 21:11.
In the Girls JV race, Alison Gould finished 20th in 26:27, while Madison Reimer was 21st in 26;41 and Ema Enriquez was 27th in 32.41.
For the E-Hawks, Nick Grandstaff paced the effort with a 20th place finish from his 20:55 clocking.
Michael Pugh would follow in 34th place with a 23:30 time, while Daniel Van Oosbree was 36th in 23:35 and Austin Cole finished 37th in 23:37.
"I thought everyone ran well in some very difficult conditions,"?noted Emmetsburg Head Coach Valerie Pickett.
