Homecoming Week Approaches At Ruthven-Ayrshire School

Students in the Ruthven-Ayrshire Community School are gearing up for their Homecoming observance, which will run Sept. 17-21, in conjunction with Homecoming at Graettinger-Terril.

Homecoming Week 2012 will begin on Monday, Sept. 17 with Western/Hillbilly Day, where students will wears their western or Hillbilly attire to school. Jersey and Hat Day will be the theme for Tuesday, and the evening will feature the coronation of the RA Homecoming King and Queen, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym.

Candidates for Homecoming Queen are Kenzie Fay and Liana Halder, and King candidates are Carter Williamson and Trevor Hagedorn. Students chosen as the class attendants are Emily Moran and Max Herman from the Junior Class, while Morgan McGrauth and Ryan Jacks will represent the Sophomore class and Tori Horst and Cole Hagedorn will represent the Freshman class. Serving as the crown bearers for coronation will be Shayla Doran and Blake Rosacker.

Wednesday will feature the themes of Dress Your Best/Future Professional Day for student attire. Thursday will be Super Hero/Twins Day, and the annual Homecoming Parade will take place at 2 p.m.

The week will conclude on Friday with Spirit Day, as all students will show their Titan Pride leading up to the Homecoming game at Graettinger when the Titans host the Cadets of CAL atimer for the Homecoming football game to cap off the week's activities.
