The 53rd West Palo Alto Community Fund Drive will begin Thursday, Nov. 1 and continue through Thursday, Nov. 15. This annual fund drive gives the community the opportunity to help one or more of the 17 local, state and national health and welfare programs.
Monies raised have gone to Heart, Cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson, Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis and Arthritis Association for research. Funds have also been given to Ayrshire Dinner Date, Ruthven Social Center and the Ruthven Community Care Center. Additional organizations are CAASA, Seasons Center, the Salvation Army, Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Palo Alto County Hospital Auxiliary, and Horizons Unlimited of Palo Alto County.
The officers of West Palo Alto are Linda Heiman, President, Winona Loomis, Secretary, and Pat Henningsen, Treasurer. Community members are asked to give generously when their envelope arrives in the mail.
