Funeral service for Henrietta "Wren" Bradley of Emmetsburg will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Alexander Reformed Church in Alexander. The Rev. Phil Arnold will officiate.
Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery at Alexander. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Alexander Reformed Church in Alexander.
Henrietta "Wren" Dilene Bradley was born on Sept. 9, 1922, northwest of Alexander to Henry, Jr. and Reka (Groen) Schulte. She was raised on the family farm near Alexander. Wren graduated from Alexander High School in 1940.
On Dec. 9, 1944 Wren was united in marriage to Lloyd Bradley in Parsons, KS. They lived most of their married life around Alexander, moving to Waterloo after Lloyd became ill. Wren moved to Willow Ridge in Emmetsburg eight years ago.
Wren had various jobs throughout her life, working at Kresge Department Store, Hensels and Aldinger Grocery Store. She loved to visit and be visited by family and friends.
Wren passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at PARC Hall in Emmetsburg, at the age of 90.
Wren was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; three sisters, Grace Hanna, LaVonne Peters and Marlene Slining; and two nephews.
Surviving are her children, Ginger (Chuck) Bachman and Dilene (Don) Larsen; her four grandchildren, Jodi (Dave) Osburn, Jamie Bachman, Brenda (H. Lynn) Mitchell, Bridget (Don) Mitchell; and her five great grandchildren, Faye, Tommy and Jonathan Osburn and Miles and Isaiah Mitchell.
