With the holiday break concluded, classes resume in our local schools next week and the Winter sports season will resume in full force after a gradual ramp up at the end of this week.
Emmetsburg Action
Emmetsburg's E-Hawk wrestlers returned to the mat Thursday night, January 3, with a Lakes Conference double dual, hosting Spirit Lake Park and Storm Lake.
On Saturday, the E-Hawks will travel to Forest City for an Invitational Tournament. Then on Thursday, Jan. .10, the E-Hawks will host Manson Northwest Webster and South Central Calhoun in a double dual.
Emmetsburg will also holst its annual Junior Varsity wrestling tournament on Monday, Jan. 7, with action starting at 5 p.m.
The Emmetsburg E-Hawk and Lady E-Hawk basketball teams resume action on Tuesday night, Jan. 8, when they will host Spirit Lake.
GT/RA?Titans
Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire's Titan boys and girls basketball teams travel to Everly on Friday night, Jan. 4, to take on Clay Central-Everly,and then resume Cornbelt Conference play on Tuesday, Jan. 8, when they travel to West Bend to meet the Wolverines in a doubleheader.
The GT/RA Titan wrestlers will host their own Invitational Tournament in Graettinger on Saturday, Jan. 5 and then travel to East Sac on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Wolverine Action
The West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate Wolverines and Lady Wolverines will return to the hardwood as well on Friday night, Jan., 4, when they host Manson Northwest Webster in non-conference basketball action. Then on Tuesday, Jan. 8, the Wolverines will host the Titans of GT/RA in a girl-boy doubleheader in West Bend.
