GRAETTINGER - The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire won a Cornbelt Conference matchup with Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne on Tuesday night by a 63-41 tally. The Titans got out to an early lead and never had to look back as nearly every member of the squad saw playing time in the contest.
For GT/RA, Connor Sturgill ripped the nets for 22 points and 11 boards, while Marcus Girres added 15 points. Austin Dyer chipped in 11 points, with Trevor Hagedorn scoring four points and Jared Sikora adding three points. Andy Geelan, Mason McGrauth, Michael Girres and Lane Reiman all scored two points in the win.
On Friday night, the Titans would host Trinity Christian in Ruthven but came up just shy in a 59-51 loss.
Austin Dyer would lead the Titans with 20 points in the contest, followed by Connor Sturgill with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Trevor Hagedorn added eight points and Michael Girres came up with six tallies. Andy Geelan rounded out the effort with two points.
"I thought the boys played a real good first half but their size wore us down in the second half," noted GT/RA?Head Coach Randy Hough.
Saturday night the Titans took on the Bulldogs of Lake ?Mills and fell by a 50-36 margin.
Connor Sturgill would tally his third double-double of the week, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Austin Dyer added 12 points, while Trevor Hagedorn scored seven points. Mason McGrauth and Michael Girres both scored two points to round out the Titans' efforts.
