E-Hawk Freshmen Playing Well

On January 7, the E-Hawk Freshmen basketball team traveled to Pocahontas and collected a 40-37 win over the Indians. Leading the way for the E-Hawks was Wes Schultes with 19 points and Nate Schiek had 17 points on eight of 10 shooting.

Also scoring for the E-Hawks was Alex DeFord with four points.

Schultes also recorded 10 rebounds and four assists.

On Jan. 10, the E-Hawks battled hard but came out short in a 51-16 loss at Algona. The E-Hawks really struggled shooting the ball but played good defense and rebounded the ball well along with fewer turnovers.

Leading the way for the E-Hawks was Wes Schultes with eight points, Nick Grandstaff with four points and Kyle Kassel and Nate Schiek each with a basket for two points.

A second game consisting of two quarters was also played where the E-Hawks fell 18-12. Scoring for the E-Hawks was Christian Strohmann with four points, Spencer Bird, Eli Reichart, Zach Nielsen and Cameron

Heddinger each contributing 2 points. After taking an 8-6 lead on the Bulldogs, the E-Hawks struggled to regain the advantage in the game.
