Pelzer Law Firm has opened a branch office in Emmetsburg. The office is located at 2214 Main Street.
Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony, welcoming the new business to the community. Pelzer Law Firm is based in Estherville where Max Pelzer has been practicing law for over 50 years. Max is Christopher's grandfather. The firm has done in the Emmetsburg area over the years.
A general practice law firm, Pelzer Law offers services in estate planning, tax, family law, criminal law and real estate. The firm is doing individual taxes this year as well. Christopher Fuhrman is an Attorney at Law and Certified Public Accountant. Jennifer Bennett Finn is an Attorney at Law and Mediator.
"We saw a need (in Emmetsburg) and we were looking to expand," said Jennifer Bennett Finn, when asked why the firm located in Emmetsburg. She also does court appointment work in Emmetsburg.
Christopher Fuhrman agreed, "We thought it would be a good fit (to locate in Emmetsburg). I know a lot of people in Emmetsburg and have played sports with many."
Christopher's office hours are Tuesdays form 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jennifer's office hours are Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact the Emmetsburg office at 712-415-1071. The home office is located at 113 North Sixth Street in Estherville; telephone 712-362-7266.
"A lot of work can be done at the Estherville office," said Lisa Kiefer. She and Jody Dixon are paralegals for the firm.
