GRAETTINGER - The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire would defend their home course on Monday to capture the championship in Monday's Cornbelt Conference Girls Golf Tournament. The tournament was played at the Hillcrest Golf Course in Graettinger.
Macy Gunderson of Harris-Lake Park would earn the medalist honors with a round of 52, while Rachel Vellema of Harris-Lake Park took the runner-up honors with a round of 54.
For Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire, Kelley Harris would led the charge with a round of 54, with teammate Alyssa Hoffman carding a 55.
Caroline Koekenhoff and Sara Harris would both turn in rounds of 57 for the Titans, while Destiny Akridge shot a 64. Rounding out the efforts for GT/RA was Cassy Hampson with a 73.
For West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate, Jennalyn Thul would led the Lady Wolverines with a round of 56. Cassie Gearhart turned in a 60, with Emily Bormann shooting a round of 66. Victoria Simms carded a 68, while Heather Brown rounded out the effort with a 69.
Final team scoring saw Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire win with a 223, while Harris-Lake Park was second with a 229 stroke total. West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate finished third with a 250, while North Union was fourth with a 258. Clay Central-Everly finished with a 306 for a fifth place finish and Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne placing sixth with a 307.
