A Mass of Christian Burial for Judy A. Hamilton of Mallard was held Saturday, April 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mallard. Celebrant was the Rev. Tom Hart.
Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Mallard. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg was in charge of arrangements.
Judy Ann Hamilton, daughter of Everett and Helen (Moats) Leuer, was born March 30, 1946, in Mallard. She attended Pocahontas Catholic School, graduating in 1964.
On July 4, 1969, Judy was united in marriage to Homer Hamilton in Chicago, IL. Throughout her life, Judy worked at several restaurants and bars in the area. She was employed at Joyce's Foodland in the deli and the Rolfe bar. She and Homer owned and operated the Silver Lake Saloon in Ayrshire for several years. Judy also worked at the Duck Stop in Mallard as well as Sparky's. She also cooked at the Mallard Community School.
Judy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and church circle.
Judy passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Emmetsburg Care Center at the age of 67. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
She is survived by her children, John Baker of Sergeant Bluff, Dan Hamilton of Cook, NE, and Larry Hamilton of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Leuer of Arizona and Fred Leuer of Colorado.
