Emmetsburg News
NEW OWNERS AT NAPA -- Dan and Terry Amato are new owners of the Emmetsburg NAPA store at 2209 10th Street. Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Friday morning, welcoming the Amatos to the business community. Pictured (from the left) are Chamber Director Deb Hite, Terry and Dan cutting the ribbon, Carol Wampfler and Randy Judge from the NAPA Distribution Center, and NAPA?employee Shannon Dugan. Dan and Terry purchased the business mid-March. Since, they have stripped the building to nothing, painted the walls, and added new floor treatment and new shelving, displays and countertops, and all new inventory. The Amatos view this as an exciting venture and enjoy getting to talk to people every day. The majority of NAPA stores are independently owned, such as the Emmetsburg store. However, they have the backing of headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Through computers, the inventory is constantly monitored and four times each year inventory will be reviewed and new products added to the store. “We are very happy with the new owners,” said Carol Wampfler. “They are in the future. We are glad to have them in the NAPA family.” Emmetsburg NAPA is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 noon. --Jane Whitmore photo
