July 11, 2013
by Jane Whitmore , Emmetsburg News

The Carson & Barnes Circus is coming to Emmetsburg.

Carson & Barnes is "The Real Circus" with everything patrons expect to see under the big top:?clowns, acrobats, aerial daredevils, spectacular pageantry and a cast of amazing performing animals led by the biggest stars of the show -- the Carson & Barnes Asian elephants.

Two of the performers stopped in Emmetsburg this week and gave a preview of their talents. "Tito the Clown" (Jesus Javier) and Jasmany the Balancing Ballerina (Mireles Aguilar) are pictured at right.

Tito showed his juggling skills and Jasmany balanced the sword on her chin. We can't wait to see their entire performance.

The Carson & Barnes Circus will give two performances on Sunday, Aug. 4. Show times are 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. FUEL Emmetsburg, a division of Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce, is the host organization.

The circus will be set up on the Palo Alto County Fairgrounds in Emmetsburg. Watch the newspaper for their time of arrival.

Tickets to the circus will be pre-sold at a reduced cost. Those interested can contact Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Billed as the "World's Biggest Big-Top Show," the circus will have a petting zoo, pony rides and a mini train. There will also be elephant rides and camel rides.
