Linda Twait Recognized for Service on AEA Board

July 30, 2013
Emmetsburg News

Prairie Lakes AEA would like to say thanks and honor board member Linda Twait. Twait, who is from Emmetsburg, was elected to the board in 2009 and represents the Albert City-Truesdale, Emmetsburg, Gilmore City-Bradgate, Newell-Fonda, Laurens-Marathon, Pocahontas Area, Ruthven-Ayrshire and school districts.

PLAEA joins with other communities throughout Iowa to honor its elected school and AEA board members during Iowa School Board Recognition Month in May. This year's theme -"Building Brighter Futures"-recognizes that Iowa's volunteer school and AEA board members are providing leadership, through responsibilities ranging from strong financial stewardship to ensuring high-quality curriculum, to make sure all students are prepared for a "brighter future."

This is an opportunity to highlight the excellent work being done on behalf of students, and to thank the more than 2,000 men and women who govern Iowa's public education system. Please take this opportunity to notice what your schools and board members have offered your children.
