What a beautiful morning to start the week off. We read some more of "Ezekiel" during our Bible reading this morning. We then went to the dining room for a game of bingo with the help of Marlys Dietrich. We had two winners for the jack pot bingo but no one guessed the mystery number.
This afternoon we got together in the activity room for some wild card games with the help of Karen Porath.
Tuesday morning we continued to read from the book of "Ezekiel" during our Bible reading. We then got together for a little in house garden club as we transplanted a few plants and checked on our little garden outside. Karen Porath came in this morning to play the piano for us during sing along.
This mornings bible readers continued in the book of"Ezekiel". Story hour brought many of us together to share stories of yester year and enjoy some of our own memories that made us smile and grin. Father Currans held Catholic Mass thank you to him. Folks gathered for cards, board games and visiting this afternoon in the activity room.
This Thursday we are celebrating try's & try's day. Employees dressed in some of the oldie but goodies outfits of yester year. Poodle skirts, saddle shoes, flower power, peace signs and rolled up jeans were some of the choices. Love and peace filled the halls as the sights and sounds sent us reminiscing.
Bible readers enjoyed a discussion after readings from the book of "Ezekiel"this morning. Stretches and ball kick brought many to exercise fun. Thank you to Pastor Thackery for leading Bible study today. His lesson "Gods word spreads like fire through the world." Lunch took us back to the drive-inns and soda shops with a burger basket of french fries and a malted milk shake and a slice of pie to enjoy for our dinner.
This afternoon we were happily entertained by Ron Frerichs during social hour, he sang oldies for us as we enjoyed a snack. We thank him for coming to join our fun 50ty's -60ty's days.
This morning in Bible reading we started in the book of Daniel. Bingo brought many cheers and smiles with the 'L' game (for Lakeside) Connie Smith won that game. The mystery number was guessed by Dorothy Kerns. The Jackpot game was a tie between Connie Smith and Dorothy Kerns both having 6 letters.
This afternoon card players and puzzlers enjoyed their time in the activity room. We had a good time sharing gals gab in Fancy Fingers as we did our nails and visited together. This morning we gathered for Coffee Chat, enjoyed talking over the current events and played trivia and giggles with humor from Laughter's the best medicine.
This afternoon we worked on a craft project, put puzzles together and card players met and we had time for a few games of WII. This evening some of took advantage of our Take Out night and enjoyed a meal from Pizza Ranch.
This morning in Bible reading we continued in the book of 'Daniel'. Bingo winners include- Connie Smith and Connie Baumann with the jack pot bingo and Dorothy Kerns winning the mystery number, congrats gals.
This afternoon to celebrate National ice cream Day we enjoyed soft serve chocolate & vanilla ice cream from the together. What a treat on a warm August summer day.
Puzzlers and card players enjoyed the afternoon together as well. This week we had a lot of visitors: John Kacmarynski and Dale Jensen visited with Romaine Ruppert.
