CHANDLER, AZ -- Harriet Carmen Hagenson, age 83, of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Emmetsburg, died peacefully Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 after a valiant battle with Parkinsons.

Harriet was born on Aug. 4, 1930 to Hazel (Helgren) and Cornelius Stenberg of Thompson, IA. She has two siblings: Mavis Linde and Roger Stenberg. She grew up in Thompson where she married Reyburn Julian on Dec.22, 1950. The couple later moved to Emmetsburg where Harriet taught school in Ayrshire and was very active at Bethany Lutheran Church. They had six children: Richard Lynn, Marcus Ray, Kent Alan, Darcy Rae, Deanna Lynn and Chad Michael. In 1984, Harriet and Ray moved to Gilbert, AZ where Harriet excelled in real estate with her can-do attitude.
Harriet has 15 grandchildren and step grandchildren: Jason and Jenna (Richard and Diane Hagenson of Gilbert, AZ); Heidi and Calvin (Marcus and Pat Hagenson of Tempe, AZ); Jenni Sonksen (Kent Hagenson and Michelle Dorweiler), Danielle, April (Michelle and Kenny Dorweiler of Clear Lake); Ashley Pelzer, Abby Clem- enson, Taylor VanOosbree, Blake VanOosbree, Jaxon (Darcy and Jeff Clemenson of Long Lake, MN); Kendall Harken (Deanna Harken of Minnetonka, MN); Jake and Sydney (Chad and Casey (Smith) Hagenson of Gilbert, AZ) and three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Bryce and Liam (Jenni and Ben Sonksen of Johnston, IA)
Harriet is preceded in death by her parents Hazel and C.N. Stenberg, husband Reyburn, son Kent and brother Roger Stenberg.
