WEST?BEND - The Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate split a pair of games, downing Laurens-Marathon Monday by a 74-56 tally, but falling to Harris-Lake Park on Tuesday by a 51-60 score.
On Monday, the Wolverines led from start to finish, taking a 21-13 lead after one quarter and a 42-32 lead at the half. With a 59- 45 lead after three quarters, WBM/GCB would go on to take the 74-56 final victory.
Jason Zinnel hit the double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds, while Jack Banwart added 17 points and Cole Banwart scored 10 markers. Jesse Zinnel added seven points, with Brady Jensen scoring six. Nolan Robert (WB) Dahlhauser added five points and Jordan Bush chipped in three points to the winning effort.
Tuesday night it was Harris-Lake Park that led all the way, with the Wolverines trailing 10-17 after one quarter and 19-33 at the half. H-LP?took a 41-31 lead after three quarters and then cruised to the 60-51 final margin of victory.
Jason Zinnel would lead the effort with 17 points, while Cole Banwart tallied the double-double, as he scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the matchup.
Brady Jensen tallied eight points, with Jesse Zinnel and Jordan Buhs both scoring five points.
