The second annual Palo Alto Growers Association FFA Quiz Bowl was held Saturday, Jan. 25. Three county high school teams participated.
For the second time, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire took home the traveling trophy for first place. The scoring was close, but West Bend-Mallard edged out the Emmetsburg team for second place.
First place earned $500 for their program, second place earned $300, and third place took $200.

West Bend-Mallard also went home with an extra $100 for having the largest number of audience members. The competition was fierce, and everyone seemed to have a good time.
The Palo Alto Growers Association extends their thanks to Iowa Lakes Community College for providing the location and refreshments for the contestants and audience.
