Cynthia Ann Soenen was born March 23, 1958 in Algona, the daughter of Leo Mundus and Jean (Henely) Egeland. Cindy attended Emmetsburg Community Schools, and she was a 1976 graduate of Emmetsburg High School.

Cindy loved to spend time with her children and grandbabies. She enjoyed people - Cindy always found the good in everyone. She liked good music, especially Mick Jagger.

After Denny passed away, Cindy moved back to the family farm where she grew up, and she loved the peace and serenity that the farm on the river brought to her. She will be remembered as a free spirit who had a zest for life and an infectious smile.
