A Song is Worth Many Prayers

August 7, 2014
Emmetsburg News

The Algona Cornbelt Barbershop Chorus led the worship services at the Renwick and Goldfield United Methodist Churches on Sunday, June 22.

Renwick welcomed a new pastor on July 6th and the church needed someone to fill in. Well, who better than the Cornbelt Chorus. Besides singing gospel music, they also shared scripture verses, and had the congregations join in with Hymnal songs.

The chorus has many members from different towns around the area. Members from Emmetsburg, Pocahontas, Wesley, Corwith and Algona all took part in the special day. Each year the barbershoppers make two church sing outs in these areas.
