Emmetsburg's basketball teams closed out the regular season last week on the road with losses to LeMars on Tuesday in LeMars, but came back to earn victories over Manson Northwest Webster in Manson on Thursday night.
Tuesday at LeMars, the Lady E-Hawks fell by a 28-40 margin.
Bailey Naig led the offense with 14 points, while Molly Schany added nine points. Parker Traub scored four points and Raven Brown had one points.
Against Manson Northwest Webster on Thursday, the Lady E-Hawks took a narrow 38-36 win on the road.
Bailey Naig paced Emmetsburg with 13 points, while Lindsay Carter added eight points. Parker Traub and Gretchen Hofstad both scored five points each, while Raven Brown scored three points. Molly Schany and Jordan Hoyman both scored two points each.
The E-Hawk boys would fall at LeMars on Tuesday by a 74-25 final score. Emmetsburg would be led by five point efforts of Brent Wesley and Hunter McAllister, while Dylan Kibbie scored four points. Dalton Connelly and Thomas Schultes both tallied three points, while Max Dunlap and Blake VerMulm both scored two points and Matt Kibbie added a free throw for one point.
On Thursday, the E-Hawks scored a 71-59 win over Manson Northwest Webster.
Thomas Schultes paced the offense with 21 points while Grant Deitering and Blake VerMulm both tallied 13 points each. Dalton Connelly added nine points and Zach Mason scored six points, with Max Dunlap, Brent Wesley and Hunter McAllister all scoring three points each in the win.
