Emmetsburg High School golf standout Allison Freeman will continue her golfing career at Iowa Lakes Community College this Fall. Freeman, the daughter of Kort and Sheri Freeman of Emmetsburg, recently signed her National Junior College Letter of Intent to play golf for the Iowa Lakes Community College Womens' Golf program and new Head Golf Coach Jarvis Weber.

"I am extremely excited to have Allison joining our program next season," noted Coach Weber, who also golfed for Iowa Lakes in his days as a student athlete. "She is an exemplary student athlete who not only excelled on the golf course but also in the classroom. She is exactly the type of person and player that Iowa Lakes and the golf program is looking to recruit. I couldn't be happier that she will be joining us as a Laker next season."

While playing for Coach Ted Riley's Emmetsburg Lady E-Hawk Golf Squad, Allison has been a two-time First Team All State and two-time Second Team All Tournament Team selection for her play in her sophomore and junior seasons. Playing with the Lady E-Hawks in the 2015 and 2016 Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Girls State Golf Tournaments, Freeman placed eight in Class 2A at the 2016 State Tournament and 12th in the 2015 State Tournament.

With the official practice date to start the 2017 season at hand, the prospects for another outstanding season for the Lady E-Hawks and Freeman appear to be strong.
