Iowa Lakes Community College will be holding HazMat Operations courses for all EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement, and Public, beginning March 29.
The HazMat Operations Refresher course will be held Wednesday, March 29 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Everly Community Center, 203 N. Main St., Everly. This course is being paid for by LEPC grant funding.
In addition, a HazMat Law Enforcement Refresher course will be offered Tuesday, April 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Spencer campus of Iowa Lakes Community College in room 108b. This course is paid for by LEPC grant funding.
Also, a HazMat Secondary Roads Refresher course will be held on Monday, April 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Spencer campus of Iowa Lakes in room 108b. This course will also be paid for with LEPC grant funding.
Those Fire, Rescue, Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel, Law Enforcement and other first responders who may respond to incidents involving hazardous materials (HazMat), are encouraged to attend.
