Emmetsburg's Hot Shots Scholastic Trap Program hosted a two-day invitational this past Friday and Saturday at Sportsman's Park. A total of 262 athletes competed for a total of 60 squads of participants.
Participants came from 13 different communities, including Algona High School, Belmond Klemme, Bishop Garrigan, Cherokee, Emmet County, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire, the Iowa Great Lakes Youth Trap Association, Lyon County, Rock Valley, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Whittemore and Sioux Falls South Dakota. Again, great job by everyone and thanks again.
Squads shooting on Friday night had very tough conditions and did about as well as they could have with wind-driven rain and a pair of lightning delays, which made for diminished visibility for the shooters.
