Being a Senior Means: Being a senior means finding who you are outside of high school. You have to learn to finally be an adult.
Describe a High School event that should be placed in the video yearbook. Getting second at Pella for a show choir competition was one of the proudest moments for Emmetsburg Vocal. We beat 4A schools that have more people and props, but it is the way we connected with each other and the passion we put in the performance that got us second place.
What would be one memory from high school that you would include in a time capsule? Though I didn't make it into all-state, going through that process has made me a better singer. In the time capsule I would like a memory from one of the camps I went to because I have met so many people who ended up being close friends.
What is one thing you learned from a teacher that you will never forget? Mrs. Strube has taught me that getting good grades isn't as important as your work ethic.
Greatest Accomplishment: It took me 17 years to realize that worrying what others think about you is pointless, but I have to say that reaching this point is one of the greatest accomplishments I have ever reached.
Advice to Underclass: High School is just a small four years of your life. Don't get to beat up over what people say or think because there is still a whole other world you haven't discovered.
Future Plans: Go to Iowa Lakes for two years then transfer to a university.
