BUFFALO?CENTER - The Titan Girls of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire earned a second place team finish at last week's North Iowa Lady Bison Relays.
Leading the effort for the Titans was Toni Alesch as she swept the 100 and 200 meter dashes, winning the 100 in :13.43 and then taking the 200 meters in :27.38. Maddy Norris would win the 800 meter run and the 1500 meter run, turning in a 2:38.47 time in the 800 meters and a 5:51.22 clocking in the 1500 meter run.
Also earning first place honors was Maddie Hough in the shot put, taking the top spot with a throw of 30'11".
GT/RA's 4x100 relay, comprised of Meaghan Dahna, Ellie VonEhwegen, Maddie Hough and Toni Alesch would earn first place with their :55.22 effort, while the Titans' 4x200 relay, with Ellie VonEhwegen, Emma Heinrichs, Taylor Park and Toni Alesch ran a 1:55.36 to finish first.
Ellie VonEhwegen would earn a runner-up finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of :28.48, while the 4x800 relay quartet of Taylor Park, Maddie Hough, Anna Sorenson and Maddy Norris took second place with a 10:59.63 effort.
Earning third place honors was Maiya Eisenbacher in the 3000 meter run with a time of 14:04.37 and Emily Chicoine in the 400 meter hurdles with her clocking of 1:19.64.
The 4x400 relay squad of Kailee Hauge, Anna Sorenson, Taylor Park and Emma Heinrichs placed third and Emily Chicoine took third in the high jump, clearing a height of 4'2".
The Sprint Medley relay group of Meaghan Dahna, Kailee Hauge, Emma Heinrichs and Anna Sorenson placed fourth in a time of 2:15.63, while Emily Chicoine placed fourth in the 400 meter dash in 1:09.54.
The Distance Medley relay of Kady Feldhacker, Katie Long, Kailee Hauge and Maiya Eisenbacher took fourth with a 5:45.08 clocking as well.
Maddie Hough would finish fifth in the 400 meter dash in 1:70.07 and in the 1500 meter run, Maiya Eisenbacher placed fifth in a time of 6:30.39. Meaghan Dahna would finish the 100 meter dash in :19.56 and Kady Feldhacker placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 11'.75".
Jessica Miller would round out the placings at ?Buffalo Center with a long jump of 9'5.25", which was good for a sixth place finish for the Titans.
