The Visitation for Raymond Fuller will be held at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville,?on Sunday August 6 from 5-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be on Monday, August 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry Olson Funeral Chapel. Pastor Doug Burton will officiate.

Ray Fuller will be buried in?East Side Cemetery in Estherville.?He will be buried with military honors.

Raymond L. Fuller, the son of Harold and Gelia (Saunders) Fuller, was born November 9, 1945 in Independence. He died on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Community Memorial Health Center in Hartley, at the age of 71.

He received his education in Emmetsburg schools; upon completion he entered into the United States Army serving from 1963 until 1984 retiring as Master Sgt.

While in the military he served as a mechanic, mechanics instructor, and platoon sergeant during his career. Ray was awarded the state's highest award, Louisiana Commendation Medal for Meritorious Achievement. Other awards that he received were the Army Achievement Medal, ten Army Commendation Medals, seven Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with five campaign stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Non-commissioned Officer Development Medal with two devise, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Medal with four devise, Presidential Unit Citation, Expert Marksman Badge, Expert Mechanic and Driver's Badge.

On January 16, 1973 he was united in marriage to Francella Guinn in St. James, Virginia. The couple made their home in Estherville and Ray worked at NAPA for 20 years, retiring in 2012.

For hobbies, he enjoyed old western movies, NASCAR, auto racing, fishing, Green Bay Packers, bingo, wood crafts and plastic canvas.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3388 in Estherville and a past member of American Legion Post 162 of Graettinger.

Left to cherish Ray's memory are his wife, Fran of Estherville; his children, Jessica Wager of Ringsted; James Fuller of Rock Rapids; Michael Fuller of Estherville; Calvin (Darilyn) Fuller of Estherville; Sheila Keeler of Estherville; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Donna (Herbert) Kapriva of Belmond; Hughie (Nan) Fuller of Lakeland, Georgia; Carol Ensley of Emmetsburg; Don (Dixie) Fuller of Leavenworth, Kansas; Tony (Doris) Fuller of Maynard; Jenny (Tom) Perham of Virginia; and Neal Fuller of Oelwien, and sister-in-law, Sue Fuller of Mason City.

He has been preceded in death by his parents; son, Vernon Fuller; sister, Wanda Curtis; brother, Rick Fuller and brother-in-law, Vern Ensley.
