ESTHERVILLE?- Emmetsburg's E-Hawks would strike first on Friday night and answered every thrust made by the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets. The loss sends Emmetsburg into the district slate with an 0-2 mark as they prepare to host Sibley-Ocheyedan this Friday night at Duane Twait Field.

The two teams traded possessions to open the game, but Emmetsburg would strike first with 5:26 to play in the first frame as Nick Schany took a handoff and rumbled 21 yards off a dive into the end zone. Connor Joyce would kick the conversion for a 7-0 lead that would hold through the end of the first quarter.

ELC?would have the ball to start the second quarter and used a couple of passes and some hard running to tie the score with 9:57 to go in the half.
