Lady Wolverine Netters Split League Games

WEST?BEND - The Lady Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate split a pair of Twin Lakes Conference games last week. On Tuesday, the Lady Wolverines defeated St. Mary's of Storm Lake by a 3-1 tally, but on Thursday WBM/GCB fell to Alta-Aurelia 3-0. The split gives the Lady Wolverines a mark of 5-14 on the season.

Tuesday night, West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate earned the win over the Panthers of St. Mary's by game scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-15 and 15-21.

Leading the effort was Trissa Schmidt with 33 attacks and 10 kills, along with 11 assists, three digs, two blocks and 11 of 11 serves.

Karissa Montag added 32 attacks with 12 kills and five blocks, while making 17 of 17 serves. Rachel Fehr added 31 attacks with six kills, four digs and 10 of 10 serves and Monika Fehr came away with 26 attacks and five kills, with five blocks and Autumn Mogler added 23 attacks with seven kills, seven digs and 20 of 23 serves with four aces.

Isabell Gehrt added 15 attacks with three kills, but handed out 25 assists and made 15 digs while completeing 19 of 23 serves with seven aces.

Against Alta-Aurelia on Thursday night, the Lady Wolverines fell by game scores of 7-25, 16-25 and 15-25.

Trissa Schmidt would make 13 attacks with two kills, two assists, three blocks and six of seven serves with two aces, while Rachel Fehr added 12 attacks with three kills, one assist two digs and two of four serves.

Monika Fehr added 10 attacks with two kills and four blocks with one serve and Karissa Montag added 10 attacks with three digs and seven of seven serves.

Isabell Gehrt would make eight attacks with three kills and handed out seven assists with one dig and five of seven serves in the effort.
