RUTHVEN - The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans celebrated Homecoming with a 48-6 drubbing of Clay Central-Everly Friday night. The win moves the Titans to a mark of 2-2 in Eight-Man District One play and 402 overall on the season as they prepare to travel to Harris-Lake Park this Friday evening for a key district matchup.

Friday's Homecoming tilt at Ruthven was played on a wet field after a day's rains but the Titans would have little trouble with the conditions.

To start the contest, the Titans would take to the airways, as Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire would engineer three touchdowns through the passing game against the Maverick defense.

With three passing touchdowns in the first quarter and a short rushing score, the Titans had a 32-0 lead at the end of the opening quarter of play.

GT/RA was on a roll and added two more touchdowns in the second quarter of play to post a 48-0 lead at the intermission, bringing the 35-point mercy rule into effect for the remainder of the game.

Clay Central-Everly would tally a touchdown late in the game for the 48-6 final score, but the Titans' reserves were able to play most of the second half of the contest to preserve the Homecoming victory.

The Titans finished the contest with 224 rushing yards in the contes, led by Kolton Roth's five carries for 93 yards. Brock Grimm added 12 rushes for 58 yards, while Jacob Conlon made three carries for 31 yards. Chris Conlon added two carries for 26 yards and Treyton Cacek ran the ball six times to gain 19 yards.

Jacob Conlon would complete two of six passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns, while Treyton Cacek added two of three passes for 21 yards and Kolton Roth completed one pass for 47 yards.

Tommy Geelan would make two catches for 80 yards, while Jace Naig had a 47-yard catch and Tyson Kruse added a 20-yard reception. Noah Skattebo would catch a pass for a yard gain.

Defensively, Treyton Cacek would lead the Titans with seven tackles, while Nate Larson added five stops and Kolton Roth made four tackles. Jacob Conlon intercepted two passes and Lucas Hoffman would recover a fumble for Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire in the winning effort.
