Norris To Continue Hoops Career At Dakota State

GRAETTINGER - A senior girls basketball standout from Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire's Titans squad has signed a letter of intent to continue her hoops career after graduation this month. Madison Norris, a 5'6" point guard for Coach Todd Hough's Titans, inked a letter to play for Coach David Moe and the Trojans of Dakota State University in Madison, SD.

Norris, the daughter of Aimee and Kyle Norris of Graettinger, was a two-time Twin Lakes All Conference Selection as a Junior and Senior for the Titans. She started all 88 games in her prep career at GT/RA and helped lead the Titans to a 16-9 record for the 2017-2018 season, which saw the Titans reach the Regional semi-finals before ending their season.

In her career at GT/RA, Madison started in 88 games and scored 609 points, an average of 6.92 points per contest. She connected on 84 three-pointers in that span, and collected 275 rebounds, an average of 3.25 per contest. She dished out 218 assists to teammates, made 154 steals and blocked a total of 88 shots for the Titans as the point guard.

At Graettinger-Terril, Madison is the Class Valedictorian of the Class of 2018, and is an Iowa Governor's Scholar.

Norris was a four-sport athlete at Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire, where she earned Twin Lakes All Conference honors as a setter for volleyball, a pitcher in softball and was a four-time state qualifier for the Titans' Track and Field squad.

At Dakota State University, Norris will major in Elementary Education/Special Education as well as continuing her Basketball career.
