The Golden Bears would take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning, but Emmetsburg would take a 2-0 lead in the top of the fourth frame as McAllister and Nick Krieg would both come home after McAllister hit a double and Krieg got on off an error, before being scored off a double from Nick Schany.

The lead would hold until the bottom of the fifth inning when Bishop Garrigan would retake the lead with four runs for a 5-3 advantage the E-Hawks would be unable to overcome.

Hunter Mcallister took the loss for Emmetsburg as he surrendered five runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out seven batters in the process. Emmetsburg would come away with nine hits in the loss, as Nick Krieg, Cole Keller, and Nick Schany each had two hits for the E-Hawks, while Dylan Kibbie, Hunter McAllister and Lex Kassel all had base hits.
