The Emmetsburg Lady E-Hawks hosted their own invitational tournament on Saturday and emerged as the champions of the day. Emmetsburg picked up wins over Spencer and Clear Lake on the day to claim the crown.

In their first game on Saturday, Emmetsburg would claim a 5-2 win over the Spencer Tigers.

After a scoreless first inning to open the day, Spencer would plate a run for an early 1-0 lead. But Emmetsburg would not be content with that. Leadoff singles by Annie Brennan and Emma Anderson would be followed by a walk and after two outs, a single from Raven Brown would help bring Brennan, Anderson and Ali Laubenthal home before Brown scored off a base hit from Lindsay Carter, who would be left waiting when the inning ended.
