The Emmetsburg E-Hawks earned a 2-1 win over Graettinger-Terril/ Ruthven-Ayrshire in a low-scoring affair Monday night. The win improves Coach Bret Hansen's squad to 8-6 overall.

The Titans opened the contest getting Lucas Hoffman on base of a walk and Tyson Kruse on base off a walk, but the duo were left waiting when the at-bat ended. The E-Hawks would get a leadoff double from Hunter McAllister, who would be thrown out stealing third, and Nick Schany got on base off an error, but was left waiting to end the inning.

In the top of the second, the Titans went down in order but Emmetsburg got Lex Kassel on base off an error. Kassel would come around to score off a fielders' 'choice on Nick Krieg's at-bat to give Emmetsburg a 1-0 lead when the inning ended.

GT/RA drew a leadoff walk for Brady Olson to start the third inning, but left him waiting when they were put out in order after that. Hunter McAllister would lead off for Emmetsburg getting on base off an error and advanced off a single from Nick Schany. A fielders' choice allowed Jeremiah Weir to load the bases and Dylan Kibbie was walked with two out to score McAllister's run for a 2-0 lead when the inning ended, stranding Schany, Weir and Kibbie.

The Titans were struck out in order in the top of the fourth, while Emmetsburg got Hunter McAllister on base off a walk with two outs, and Ben Dunlap would follow after being walked, but the duo were left looking for a way home when the inning came to a close.

GT/RA would get a one-out single from Jacob Conlon, who would move to second, where he would languish as the at-bat ended. In the bottom of the fifth, Jeremiah Weir was hit by a pitch to lead off, and Lex Kassel got on off a fielders' choice. Nick Krieg would hit a single, but Kassel would be left waiting at third to end the inning.

Trailing 0-2 to start the sixth inning, GT/RA got a leadoff single from Lucas Hoffman who advanced to score off a single from Tyson Kruse, but Kruse would be left waiting.

Jace Carlson drew a walk in the bottom of the sixth for Emmetsburg and Hunter McAllister also drew a walk, but Carlson would be thrown out on a fielders' choice of Ben Dunlap's at-bat with one out, and McAllister and Dunlap would be left waiting when the inning ended as rain began.

Ben Dunlap earned the win on the mound as he went six innings and gave up one run, which was earned, off three hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.

The E-Hawks got a double from Hunter McAllister and base hits from Nick Krieg and Nick Schany.

For the Titans, Lucas Hoffman went five and a third innings, giving up two unearned runs off three hits with five walks and five strikeouts. Treyton Cacek would pitch two-thirds of an inning for GT/RA.

The Titans got hits from Lucas Hoffman, Tyson Kruse and Jacob Conlon.
