On June 26, the E-Hawks traveled to Manson and handed Northwest Webster a 14-5 defeat.

Emmetsburg jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first, using runs from Hunter McAllister, Ben Dunlap and Nick Schany to start the scoring, but would end up leaving Lex Kassel waiting when the at-bat ended. Manson Northwest Webster would answer with a run of their own.

The E-Hawks pushed four runs over the plate in the second to gain some breathing room. The Cougars would respond with three runs of their own, but left two runners looking for a way home to end the second frame.

In the top of the third, Emmetsburg erupted for seven runs to give the E-Hawks a 14-4 advantage. Manson Northwest Webster picked up a run in the fifth to end all scoring.

The E-Hawks posted a 13-3 win it its June 28 road game against West Hancock.

In the top of the second, the E-Hawks would find their offense and pushed four runs over the plate.

Emmetsburg kept the offense rolling, scoring six runs in the top of the third. The Eagles would get two runs back in their half of the third.

The E-Hawks added four more. The Eagles answered with one and the game in on the 10-run rule.

In Lady Hawks action last Wednesday, Emmetsburg suffered a rare loss at home, falling 6-1 to Alta-Aurelia.

Alta-Aurelia took an early two-run lead off a solo home run and a base hit.

A leadoff double in the top of the fifth would turn into a run for Alta-Aurelia after a base hit to give the Warriors a 3-0 lead. Abbie Schany would lead off with a base hit for Emmetsburg in the bottom of the fifth, and worked her way around the bases to score to cut the deficit to 3-1 to start the sixth inning.

There would be no more scoring for Emmetsburg. The Warriors added two more runs to close out the contest.

Last Thursday's contest in Britt was an entirely different story as the Lady E-Hawks trounced West Hancock in a 16-0 shutout.

This one was never in doubt as Emmetsburg erupted for nine runs in the second. The team batted around the order. The Lady E-Hawks would tack on seven more runs to complete the drubbing.

Mikayla Frerichs got the win, pitching the shutout and allowing just two hits with one walk and two strikeouts.

Emmetsburg got doubles from Brielle Madden, Molly Schany and Lindsay Carter. The win improved the team's record to 22-7.
