Pedal Pull Results Released

A?favorite of the younger set every year at the Palo Alto County Fair is the Pedal Tractor Pull. Once again, the 2018 Fair featured a spirited competition in the Pedal Pull, which took place on July 21.

In the powder puff division, Alli Miller prevailed, logging a distance of 331 inches. Holly Sidles came in second place, having moved her tractor and weights 296 inches. Third place went to Tabatha Winkler, who pedaled her tractor to a distance of 268 inches. Rounding out the power duff division were Janet Priemer, Lauren Kenyon, Sheri Kutschara, Kelly Wickman, Mackenzie Hoffman, Lindy Cirks, Jen Swift and Aliza Woodford.

In the class four division, Riley Wester took home first place with a distance of 29.4 feet. Bailey Merkel claimed second place with a distance of 19.11 feet. Jace Merkel came in third at 19.8 feet. Also competing in class four were Elden King, Ben Miller, Axel Kutschara, Kimber Kutschara, McCoy Sidles, Case Montas, Hayden Borman, Alyana Manwarren and Kathryn Reese.

Class five featured seven competitors. Jalen Zuagg took home bragging rights with a mark of 374 inches. Rowen Dalhausen was inched out and came in second at 347 inches. Third prize went to Jonas Swift who recorded a distance of 268 inches. Rounding out the field were Dani Garrelts, Luke Donlan, Shaylee Hunsen and Vera Nelson.

In the class six division, Kyler Winkler and Landon Twaiten shared first place by pedaling their tractors the entire breadth of the course. Payton Bowman came in third and Vivian Westfall rounded out the competitors.

In class seven competition, Morgan Miller claimed first prize by pedaling the entire distance. Vince Nelson secured second place with a 39-foot trek. Jonah Malm came in third at 38 feet. Ben Garrelts and Harper Manwarren rounded out the field.

Class eight division witnessed a competition that came down to inches. Caleb Kobach came in first at 38.8 feet. Hunter Manwarren was close behind in second place at 37.1 feet. Lily Swift claimed third at 35.9 feet. Braylen King, Kalven Winker and Massie Malm rounded out the competition.

Three pedal pugilists comprised the class nine division. Landon Sikora took home first prize with a pedal pull of 301 inches. Nolan King claimed bragging rights to second place by posting a pull of 272 inches. Liberty Corderman won the bronze at 244 inches.

In class 10 competition, Audrianna VanHeuvelein grabbed first place with a pedal pull of 393 inches. Gracie Marcellus took home second place at 363 inches. Third place went to Luke Malm who pedaled a distance of 341 inches. Ava Faulkner, Carson Schneider and Ava Swift comprised the rest of the field.

Class 11 division saw Isaiah Malm claim first place with a pull of 373 inches. Brother Zach Malm was a close second, coming in at 366 inches. Third place went to Jadin Kutschara at 291 inches. Devin Morey, Jenna Fields, Carter Manwarren and Karsten Gardner rounded out the field.
