"They're winning and they're hungry", said Bjustrom after his team traveled to the Double Dual at Estherville-Licoln-Central.

His squad proved to be just too much for the other teams as they set themselves apart from both Lemars (49-15) and the hosting Midgets (58-18).

Spencer and Mason Griffin (ranked #3 and #6 in their respective weight classes by The Predicament), Matthew Wirtz, Nick Schany, and Sean Brennan all earned pins for the E-Hawks against ELC. Bret Hoyman won a 11-5 decision over ELC's Chase Budach. John Lace II grabbed a sudden victory in the first overtime against Kylan Fitzgerald. Nic Lowe was able to win over Jaciel Castro by a technical fall score of 18-2 at 4:16. Ethan Berven was also able to secure a tech fall against Zack Anderson after 4:14 with a score of 16-0.

Going into the second dual of the night against a good Lemars wrestling team, the E-Hawks continued the pins with five from Levi Aldous in 2:50, Ethan Berven in 3:15, Spencer Griffin in 2:21, Sean Brennan in 2:16 and Kelly Griffin after 2:59. Nick Schany grabbed a major decision by a score of 13-4.

Meanwhile, Colton Anderson, Bret Hoyman, Mason Griffin, and Jon Lace II all brought the team point score higher with their decision victories.

Coach Bjustrom was very pleased with the squad's overall performances saying, "This is probably our best effort this year".

The E-Hawk team has been putting in the time and sacrifice all year and it is paying its dividends.

"The more sacrifices you make, the more you have to lose. And the more you have to lose, the harder you're going to fight", Bjustrom said.

The E-Hawk wrestlers will enjoy the snow day with some team bonding before heading to Algona to compete January 22.
