Save The Date A Great Lineup for This Year’s Ag Education Day

Farmers, ag-related business, students and anyone interested in learning more about boosting their return on investment, economic indicators, generational differences, and aquaculture will not want to miss Ag Education Day, Wednesday, March 13 at the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the event will run from 9:00 a.m. to

3:30 p.m. Lunch will be included.

Ag Education Day is a biennial event sponsored by Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation, along with the Ag Committee and area ag-related businesses.

The event feature keynote speaker David Beurle, Founder and CEO of Future iQ. Other speakers include Brenda Clark Hamilton, Fresh Coffee: Professional Growth Programs, Dr. Dermot Hayes, Professor, Iowa State University and Professor Chair in Agribusiness, Chad Hart, Associate Professor of Economics, Iowa State University, Crop Markets Specialist, and Extension Economist and Mike Naig, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture is invited to speak.

The event will feature topics on trends and implications for Midwest agriculture, marketing grain, US trade policies, and challenging skills needed to face changes now and in the future of agriculture.

Brochures featuring highlights of the event are available at area cooperatives, banks, libraries, implement dealerships, city halls, and the ISU Extension Offices in Algona and Emmetsburg.

A registration form is included in the brochure which can be filled out and mailed along with a check made payable to Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation, 106 S. Dodge Street, Suite 210, Algona, IA 50511.

Cost for the event is $30 per person through Feb. 28th. After March 1st, the registration fee will be $35 per person. Cost for students is $15.
