Take Back Your Life and Live Free

August 6, 2019

Everyone has given in to peer or societal pressure. It causes us to reinvent who we really are to fit in. Everyone wants to belong, but by reinventing or pretending to be something we really aren't, we take away from the happiness of all that life has to offer. Many times, we just go through the motions to get through the day.

The only real way to be free in life is to stop caring what others think of you once and for all. You know exactly who you are. One of the worst things a person can do to themselves is to focus on how others see you.

When I was young, I wanted everyone to like me and be my friend. Even children care what other children think of them, so we pretend we don't need friends in order to get them.

We care because we want to fit in with society. We care because we want a certain position at a job. We care because we want people to think we're something we're not. This is why we need to stop. We should stop caring and live a much better life beyond the capacity of how others think.

People are self-absorbed. Today, people are more concerned with themselves, so wrapped up in themselves, they won't care once you are gone. Spend less time worrying about what others think and more time being happy about who you are.

Imagine doing brave things. Imagine the things you do when no one's around. If you can imagine doing brave things, life will seem so worth living when you're being brave.

Work on your dreams. Stop caring about others and focus on you because what they think doesn't feed your dreams. What is life, if not for the dreams and goals we have.

I had to forget about what others thought and so do you. Remember the importance of your dreams and goals.

Remember why you're being judged. The reason people judge and criticize others is usually because they are hurting inside, or they are insecure. Hurt people often hurt people.

Ask yourself if the opinion matters. Ask yourself why you're caring so much about what other's think. Realize, the judgments, criticisms, and insult will only last a moment after you've walked away.

Sometimes you need to care what someone else thinks, but if they are not paying your bills or signing your check, then you really don't have to care what they think.

Life really is too short to be worrying about hat others think of you. Stop caring so much about what others perceive and embrace what you think about yourself. You know who you are and that is enough.
