Horizons Unlimited 21st Street Group Home received the Governor's Award for Quality Care in Health Care Facilities last week. A presentation ceremony was held at The Shores in Emmetsburg with Horizons staff and members in the limelight.
"We are so excited to receive this award," said Holly Carter, site coordinator at the 21st Street Group Home. "I work with a fantastic staff - I can't say enough about them. The members are why we go to work. Families and guardians, we couldn't do this without you. You are our support. You keep our members happy. The staff at the main office - it takes all of us to make this work. The community is our support group - our cheerleaders who keep us going."
