"The girls had a huge win tonight in Okoboji," said Head Coach Katie Schmitt. "There was tough competition out there again but we were able to come out on top. When you can get so many runners moving up front, it makes it hard to be beat."

Top 20 medalists for the Emmetsburg girls include Gabrielle Janssen in 2nd place, Hailey Foxhoven in 9th, Izzy Householder in 10th, and Taylor Steinkamp in 11th place.

The E-Hawks varsity boys finished in 10th place overall with 224 points, improving over last week's performance.

"These boys put in a lot of hard work at practice, and I'm seeing their successes come out during meet days," said Coach Schmitt.

The Emmetsburg JV girls had strong individual performances as well, while the junior high girls and boys competed for the first time this season, finishing in 4th and 5th place, respectively.

"It was a terrific effort by all runners tonight. The conditions were warm but, overall, we ran extremely well."

West Bend-Mallard also had strong showings at the meet. The Wolverines varsity girls finished in 8th place overall with 196 points while the varsity boys finished in 12th place with 257 points.
