The Emmetsburg E-Hawks travel to Orange City on Friday night to take on the Unity Christian Knights at DeValois Stadium.

On paper, the Knights and E-Hawks are very similar, each team entering Friday's contest 3-3 overall on the season, with the E-Hawks ranked 17th in the state in Class 1A followed closely by the Knights at 19.

The difference between teams is in what each brings to this Friday's matchup.

"Unity is a 78% run, 28% passing offense," said Head Coach Mike Dunlap.

"They are a good size and a very good football team."

Unity Christian has put up close to 1,000 yards on the ground so far this season, with junior running back Logan Franken accounting for almost half with 460 yards, averaging 5.2 yards a carry, and junior Tanner Schouten running for 325 yards and averaging 7.9 yards a carry.

Through the air the Knights have passed for almost 330 yards, seeing junior quarterback Clayton Bosma completing about 42% of his passes.

"We need to be very disciplined on the offensive and defensive lines," said Coach Dunlap.

The Knights are coming off a 14-62 loss to West Lyon and hoping to rebound in a big way, while the E-Hawks are looking to continue their offensive and defensive success after dominating Sibley-Ocheyedan 35-0 in last week's Homecoming win.

"We just need to continue seeing improvement this week," said Coach Dunlap.

"We need to be at our best when we travel to Orange City on Friday night."
