E-Hawk Wrestling Opens with Sweep at Storm Lake Duals, Second Place at Joe Fitch Invitational

The 2019-20 E-Hawk wrestling season got off to a strong start on Thursday night, Dec. 5 in Storm Lake. Emmetsburg dominated on the mat throughout the evening, handily defeating Pocahontas Area 65-12, West Bend-Mallard 61-17, and Sioux Central 72-12.

On Friday, Dec. 6, the E-Hawk wrestling squad traveled to Humboldt to compete in the 2019 Joe Fitch Invitational. Out of eight competing schools, Emmetsburg would earn second place with 244.5 team points, coming in just behind Humboldt's first place, 251.5 point mark.

Four E-Hawk wrestlers would earn first place finishes at the tournament: Sean Brennan at 132 pounds, Ryan Brennan at 145 pounds, Bret Hoyman at 160 pounds, and Jon Lace II at 195 pounds.
