The Emmetsburg Lady E-Hawks move to 15-5 on the season after dominant wins over both Alta-Aurelia on Monday, Feb. 4 (67-19) and Storm Lake St. Mary's on Friday night (68-38) and a close setback against Estherville Lincoln Central in a one-point loss, 34-35, on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The Lady E-Hawks would begin the week with a win over Alta at home on Tuesday night. The girls would find their rhythm early, putting up 22 points to Alta's four in the first quarter alone.

The contest would result in another 23 points to senior Molly Schany's 1,000+ career total. Schany would hit nine of 10 from the free throw line and grab four rebounds on the night.

Gretchen Hofstad would score 10 points and Hailey Foxhoven would add eight to the board.

Thursday's close loss to ELC would see the Lady E-Hawks struggle offensively throughout the contest. The girls would battle toe to toe in the first quarter but struggle during the second to enter halftime down by five points. A second half push would bring the girls within striking distance but fall short in the final minutes of play.

Abbie Schany would lead the Lady E-Hawks with 16 points on the night, scoring three of six from the three-point line.

Friday night's 68-36 win over St. Mary's would once again see the girls working together on offense as they hit the court running and outscored St. Mary's 45-13 in the first half. A team effort would give the girls the victory.

Molly Schany would score 16 points for the Lady E-Hawks, followed by Hailey Foxhoven with 11 and Raegan Swanson with 8.

The Lady E-Hawks host Manson-Northwest Webster on Thursday night, Feb. 13 at Emmetsburg High School.
