"Coach Clint Young told us to 'punch some tickets to Des Moines', said Emmetsburg Wrestling Head Coach Tyler Bjustrom after Saturday's Class 2A Districts. "This a great opportunity for Mason, Bret, and Matt and we couldn't be more excited to get rolling!"

Coach Bjustrom reflected on the district tournament as well as Emmetsburg's great season of wrestling.

"The coaches couldn't be more proud of our wrestling team. It took a lot of work and sacrifices for our guys to get where they are and although some didn't advance, that doesn't hinder the impact they had on their coaches and this program. Wrestling wasn't and isn't something that comes naturally to many of our guys. It requires dedication and a lot of personal sacrifice to a sport that isn't very fun at times. Then at the end of the day, you don't reach your goal and it's over! Now society would tell you that you failed but this it what makes sports like wrestling special. Wrestling trains you for when life fails you. You can do everything right and, trust me, we have guys who toe the line in this department, yet things still don't go your way! It hurts but you have to put your boots back on and get back on the horse. Winning isn't about medals or trophies, it's about impacting people and making a positive impression. The kids in this program are all winners and I couldn't be more proud of each of them!"
