VISUAL ARTS -- Judging at the Palo Alto County Fair began Tuesday, with static exhibits. 4-Her Landon Haack (right) met with judge Ronda Gray. They are pictured discussing Landon’s Visual Arts exhibits. Families were assigned times to bring their exhibits to the fairgrounds. Judging tables were set up in two buildings, with plenty of space to meet social distancing guidelines. The Pet Show was held Tuesday afternoon and Bucket Bottle classes were held in the evening. Spectators are limited to immediate family members only. The fair continues throughout the weekend with the dog shows and poultry show Thursday; swine and sheep shows on Friday; beef and horse shows on Saturday; and beef feeder pen show on Sunday. The show-and-go version of the fair allows 4-H and FFA members to show their work to the judges. --Jane Whitmore photo
